Hepatitis B Immunity Test

This test checks whether you have protective immunity against hepatitis B, a viral infection that attacks the liver and can lead to chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer. It is suitable for healthcare workers, laboratory staff, students, travellers, and anyone who has completed a hepatitis B vaccination course and wants to confirm that it worked, or who needs documented evidence of immunity for occupational health or regulatory purposes. It is also used to clarify immune status after natural infection or to guide decisions about booster doses.

The test measures hepatitis B surface antibodies (anti-HBs), the specific antibodies that neutralise the hepatitis B virus. A simple blood sample is taken and analysed in the laboratory using an immunoassay technique.

What is included
