Toxoplasmosis Antibody Blood Test (Toxoplasma IgG)

Toxoplasmosis is a common infection caused by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. Most people who contract it experience no symptoms or only mild, flu-like illness, but the infection can pose serious risks to unborn babies and to people with weakened immune systems. This blood test detects IgG antibodies against Toxoplasma gondii, which indicate whether you have been exposed to the parasite in the past and have developed an immune response.
